Summer Reading and Math
While summer break allows students a well-deserved opportunity to relax and recharge, it's important to prevent learning loss in core subjects like reading and math. Fortunately, there are many enjoyable ways to keep skills sharp through interactive games, educational apps, summer reading lists, and enrichment programs available through West Hartford Public Schools and the West Hartford Public Library. We encourage you to explore the summer learning resources available to ensure your child remains engaged and avoids the "summer slide." A little practice can go a long way in helping them return to school prepared for success.
