Internship Program
An internship is an non-paid, high school credit opportunity for students to work with professionals in “real world” settings to gain an understanding of a career field and what it takes to be successful in an ever-changing world. The program involves active collaboration between student, internship host and a classroom teacher that creates a seamless integration of school and real world learning, enabling students to build knowledge and gain skills through this experience.
The experience is designed to provide a special emphasis on the skills and competencies required for success. Students will have the opportunity to create a portfolio, develop 21st century skills, and plan their future educational and career paths. The internship program will integrate work-based learning with school-based learning, allow the opportunity to establish networks, and foster on-going collaboration with the community.
Internship Process:
Start here with the Student Request Form. This will be forwarded to the School-to-Careers Coordinator to begin your journey.
Next, complete the Student Career Research Form. This will help the Coordinator plan your Internship placement.
Once your application is in progress you will be forwarded a Parent/Guardian Permission Slip.
Lastly, upon completion of your Internship, you will be asked to complete a Student Evaluation Form. Complete this to finalize your experience.
If you are a local business interested in hosting an intern, please email Paulina Domika, our School-To-Careers Coordinator.
Thank you for your interest in the Internship program.
