The West Hartford Public Schools Transition Program, located on the American School for the Deaf Campus, Cogswell Building and West Hartford Town Hall, serves students ages 18-22 who require transition services.

This community-based program helps students develop essential skills in areas such as employment, life skills, adaptive skills, communication, social skills, and functional academics through both classroom instruction and community-based experiences. Focusing on daily living activities, vocational skill development, and self-determination, the program tailors instruction to meet each student’s unique needs as outlined in their individualized education plan (IEP).
