Keyboarding
Keyboarding is a technology literacy skill necessary for students to become productive citizens in an increasingly global and digital world.
In addition, keyboarding is one of the technology competencies our students will need to demonstrate mastery of Common Core Standards in English-Language Arts and effectively manage the on-line requirements of the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
Beyond Common Core Standards and Smarter Balanced assessment demands, keyboarding is a component of the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS•S) as recommended by ISTE, the International Society for Technology in Education.
