Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan

INTRODUCTION
Since the start of the pandemic, West Hartford Public Schools has done its best to partner with parents and the community to get through this extraordinarily difficult time. As an educational institution, we believe that the education of our youth is the legacy that we give back to our future community. This is an outline of our 2022-2023 plans, with specifics, but it is important to remember that things not only might change, they will. We must be prepared to be flexible in both our assumptions and our decisions, with the combined goals of keeping our children and community healthy while providing the high quality education West Hartford is known for.
The federal government requires that each Local Education Agency (LEA) that received a direct allocation of federal American Rescue Plan Act, Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP-ESSER) COVID grant funds create a Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan (the Plan). This plan must be publicly available online by June 23, 2021 and submitted to the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) as a part of the ARP ESSER application due mid-August 2021.
