All of our school buildings undergo cleaning and disinfecting each night to ensure everyone’s safety. Please continue to use our health protocols and daily health screening, and if your child is ill, please keep them home.
CT’s travel guidance has changed and we have reflected that on our Covid Dashboard. While it is no longer a state requirement and mandate, we continue to ask that anyone traveling please demonstrate a negative COVID-19 test or quarantine for ten days before returning to in-person instruction. If we all continue to work together with the goal of keeping our schools open and do all we can to keep each other healthy and safe, we will have a successful end to this school year as One Community.

Dear West Hartford Community,
West Hartford Public Schools was notified by the West Hartford/Bloomfield Health District last night that an individual at Hall High School has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The individual has not been in the school this week, and based on the Health District’s direction and guidance, there are no affected individuals at Hall or other schools who will need to quarantine due to contact. We will continue to work with the Health District and the individual to make sure they are fully recovered before returning to school. Like all of our schools, Hall High School undergoes cleaning and disinfecting each night to ensure everyone’s safety. There is no interruption to Hall High School's schedule and it will be open as usual on Monday.
This is our first case in a school, but with a district and community our size, it will not be our last. We have solid measures in place and will continue to do all we can to keep our community safe. As parents, we all have a part on this so please continue to use our health protocols and check every morning that:
- Your student does NOT have a fever greater than 100 degrees OR lower if your child is not feeling well.
- Your student doesn’t have other signs of illness.
- No one in your household has a fever or sign of illness.
- Your student has not been in close contact (within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes) with anyone confirmed with COVID-19 within the last two weeks.
If the answer is YES to any of these questions, DO NOT send your student to school. Instead follow quarantine protocols for your child and contact your healthcare provider as well as your school.
Thank you again for your cooperation and support in maintaining our community’s health and reinforcing the measures that we have put in place. Have a good weekend.
