AP Exam Participation Strong
The 2006-2007 school year in West Hartford was another excellent year for the Advanced Placement Program. More exams were taken by more students than in previous years.
The participation rate - the number of test takers divided by the number of juniors and seniors - was the second highest ever - 53.4%. Also, the number of subjects in which AP exams were taken was the most ever in the district, at 29.
The three most popular exams were Psychology (202 students), English Language (201 students) and US History (161 students). Overall 80% of test takers earned a 3 or higher on their AP exam.
