HISTORY TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Dr. Tracey Wilson - Social Studies teacher at Conard High School
Dr. Wilson is now a finalist for the National History Teacher of the Year Award, given by The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and Preserve America. The Lehrman Institute is a federal initiative to protect the country's natural and historical resources, and Preserve America is a nonprofit group promoting American history education.
Dr. Wilson, a thirty-two year veteran of West Hartford Public Schools, will receive a $1,000 award and an archive of books and educational resources donated to the Conard High School library.
