NEW WEBSTER HILL PRINCIPAL
Jeffrey Wallowitz, a former fifth-grade teacher and curriculum specialist at Webster Hill Elementary School, has been named to succeed longtime Principal Barbara Peck, who is retiring at the end of this school year.
Mr. Wallowitz is currently the principal at Van Buren Moody Elementary School in Middletown. He began his teaching career at Webster Hill in 1993, and was a Teacher of the Year finalist during his tenure there. In 2001 he was appointed Curriculum Specialist at Webster Hill, and then went on to positions in Berlin and Middletown.
On his return to Webster Hill, he commented that it "really feels like I'm going home, having started my career there and having built so many relationships with the staff and the parents and the children.” He starts his new position at Webster Hill July 1.
