PARENT FORUMS ON SUICIDE PREVENTION & AWARENESS
The first parent forums on youth suicide awareness and prevention will be held on Wednesday, April 30th, for West Hartford middle school parents.
The purpose of these events is to educate parents. Packets of information will be distributed and WHPS staff will give parents general information on how the school system responds to crisis and suicide. They will also outline what counseling resources are available to the community. Staff will review guidelines that include signs of depression and suicide risk factors, as well as how to talk to children about suicide and loss.
The first scheduled forums will be for middle school parents on Wednesday, April 30th, at 7:00 p.m. at:
- Bristow Middle School
- King Philip Middle School
- Sedgwick Middle School

Los foros de Padres En la Prevencion del Suicidio & el Conocimiento
Durante los próximo meses West Hartford Public Schools estará acogiendo los foros de padre en el conocimiento del suicidio de la juventud y la prevención. Los primeros foros planificados serán para padres de colegio el miércoles, 30 de Abril, a la 7:00 de la tarde en:
