ART EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
Anthony Billard
Anthony Billard, art teacher at Hall High School, has been named by the Connecticut Art Education Association as the 2008 Secondary Art Educator of the Year.
CAEA provides annual award in several categories, including elementary, middle and secondary art education. Pamela Murphy, department supervisor for WHPS Fine and Performing Arts, said based on her nine years as Mr. Billard's supervisor, “I believe him to be most deserving of this honor. His leadership in the field, talent, and unwavering dedication to his students and subject matter are completely evident and serve as a model for others.”
