NEW ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT FOR INSTRUCTION AND CURRICULUM ANNOUNCED
The appointment of Dr. Howley as the new Assistant for Instruction and Curriculum was announced at the June 2nd Board of Education meeting.
Dr. Howley is an innovative educator with a passion for supporting the development of high quality teaching and learning. She began her career as an English teacher and for the past eight years served as Assistant Superintendent for the Farmington Public Schools where her responsibilities included instruction, curriculum, assessment and human resources. In addition, Dr. Howley served as Interim Superintendent of Schools in Farmington from January to May 2009. Dr. Howley has also served as Bureau Chief of Curriculum and Instruction and consultant with the Connecticut State Department of Education, an instructor in the CCSU Teacher Education Program and a staff development specialist with ACES.
Improving teaching and learning is the arena in which Dr. Howley thrives and our District is fortunate to have such an accomplished, talented educator joining us.
