The West Hartford Discovery Project is an early
childhood initiative funded by the William Caspar Graustein Memorial
Fund. We are one of 49 communities state-wide to be funded to increase
the community’s awareness of the value of preschool. The Discovery
Project, now in its fourth year, is aimed at advocating for the early
education of young children, to ensure that ALL West Hartford children
enter school ready to learn. Our four-year plan can be viewed under
“Action Plans”.
We hope you will find this resource useful, and
you will help us to get the word out as we work toward making
preschool opportunities available to all children in our town.
