1997
ThinkQuest Project
Our 1997 Project ended up being a semifinalist in
the World Wide ThinkQuest Project, which is described below.
"Educating the Public about Carbon Monoxide Poisoning"
The 1997 ThinkQuest entry will document the dangers
of carbon monoxide poisoning, and how to prevent it from ever occurring.
The site will deal with the reasons behind CO poisoning, information
on how to defend yourself against the deadly gas, symptoms of CO poisoning,
and what to do in the event that you may be affected by carbon monoxide.
We deal with the science behind CO poisoning, health issues, prevention,
and even features on how a CO detector works. Carbon monoxide poisoning
itself is a medical issue, but the causes behind it deal with engineering,
chemistry, and mechanics- as man-made appliances are the chief culprit
in producing this deadly gas. We have also included an interactive
lab to demonstrate why CO poisoning can come about so quickly, and
why it is so dangerous. Our intent is to provide Education to people
of all ages. To aid you in your education we have broken it down to
three general age groups.

Because of the changes going on at Hall High School
and with the changing of servers and physical locations the 1999 entry
never made it. We are looking forward to entering this challange of
the minds again in the year 2000.
