Basic Geometry Course Description
This course is designed to
be more concrete and hands on in presenting the concepts of geometry.
There is
less emphasis on proof and increased emphasis on simulating and applying
geometry.
Attendance: You are responsible for all material covered during an absence.
>> contact me or a classmate for missed assignments / notes due to an
excused absence. Missed work should be made up promptly (1-2days)
>> no credit (grade of zero) will be given for missed assignments, quizzes,
tests, .... due to an unexcused absence.
Class Behavior: RESPECT (for me and your classmates). Your success in this class will
greatly depend on the following:
>> paying
attention during class explanations
>> doing your assignments daily
>> studying for
quizzes / test
>> asking questions
about unclear concepts / material
>> a good, honest effort results in a good, honest
performance/grade
Preparation: You must come to class ON TIME (tardiness will result in detentions per
school policy) and PREPARED with covered text, notebook, completed
assignments, pencil / pen , calculator, ....
Homework: All assignments are expected to be done daily.
Some assignments (graded homework assignments) will be collected,
graded, and averaged in with your quizzes / tests. GHA’s that are 1 day late will
lose half of their earned credit ; 2 days late will earn no credit (grade of zero)

>> Homework Assignments
>> In Class Assignments
>> Semester Avg = Qtr Avg (40%) + Qtr Avg (40%) + Sem Exam (20%)
