Attached are the final results for the 2009 Conservation Challenge. All schools achieved their goal of reducing electricity consumption by 5% more than what was accomplished during the Conservation Challenge last year. Wolcott was the early leader in the Challenge this year, maintained that lead throughout and reduced their electricity consumption by nearly 32% for this November compared to last November.
Overall, the West Hartford Public Schools reduced their forecasted electricity consumption for November 2009 by 83,598 kilowatt hours (kWh), or 9.77 percent, for a savings of $14,211.66.

If we aggregate November 2008 and 2009, we reduced electricity consumption by 269,398 kilowatt hours (kWh), or 25.86 percent, for a savings of $45,797.65 as compared to November 2006 and 2007. Attached is a more detailed breakdown comparing 2008 and 2009.
