2010–2011 Academic Year

Hello Hall Families and Teachers:
Welcome to the Hall High School PTO web page. The PTO’s primary goal is to enhance the communication between families and Hall High School and to support activities that increase our students’ educational opportunities. PTO members receive a monthly Eblast highlighting upcoming activities and at Hall High School. The PTO also coordinates the bi-monthly newsletter posted on the Hall website at http://www.whps.org (click the Hall Update button). We welcome parent participation and are appreciative of the many individuals who volunteer for the various activities throughout the year.
To learn more about what the PTO actually does, please click on this link to watch a short video produced by Hall’s Micah Barshay which can also be currently seen on West Hartford’s Community TV station: http://www.whctv.org/
During the last school year we were able to support teacher and staff requests to purchase books, equipment and guest speakers. We also were able to provide volunteers to help faculty and staff. Our primary fundraisers are the membership drive and the concession sales during varsity football games.
Click on this link to download the 2010-2011 Hall PTO Parent Membership form. Fill it out and send it to Hall High School with a check for $15.00. Please write PTO on the envelope.
Student directories are distributed during the Freshman Orientation and during curriculum night (just pick yours up during your child’s scheduled lunch in the cafeteria). After curriculum night, PTO members can pick up their directory in the front office.
Please contact me with any questions, comments or concerns at HallPTO@gmail.com.

2010–2011 Hall PTO President

Teachers & Staff:

The objective of this Association shall be to promote the welfare of young people of Hall High School by the cooperation of parents, teachers, students, and other citizens of West Hartford. Any parent, teacher, school official or other interested person may become a member of the Association by the payment of annual dues. The PTO organization is an independent association. All income realized from the membership dues is used to serve the best interest of the school.
Note: Student names might appear in the Update Newsletter unless students and parent/guardian have signed and submitted a denial of permission form. The limiting practice is that the first name and last initial will appear to showcase student talent and recognition of accomplishments.
