Why did English come to America?

Some  of the English men come to America because the land, second reason was had to religion, and many people including Pilgrims came to America where they could work pleased. Some English people came to America to teach the Indians about Christianity. Others came because they though that America was filled of gold and jewels. Still others came for the excitement of living in a faraway land. Rhode Inland (1636) and Pennsylvania (1643) were havens for religious freedom.
