Pond

The pond is as blue as ocean water

dripping off of a dolphin’s back at sunset.

It seems that the pond is made for angles,

or unicorns to be in.

The fish swim gracefully

like a sea turtle,

being free on a summer day.

However,

when it rains,

the water turns muddy black,

and it seams as if it had become a whirlpool,

you’d think you were the only living thing on earth.

Then, when light comes back,

you can’t breathe it’s so beautiful.

But you must bid it farewell,

until tomorrow.
