Magnet Essay

     Do you know what kind of objects that can attract a magnet?  Do you know what magnets are made out of?  Do you have the knowledge to know the types of magnets?  Magnets have a lot of history behind them.

     Did you know that there are many ways that people use magnets?  One of the ways that people use magnets is the cow magnet. This helps people and cows because when the cow swallows a round   magnet, all of the wires and seeds that a cow swallows in its food, gets stuck on the magnet.  Another way that magnets help is that when the dumpster is about to pick up a heavy object, such as a car, a very strong magnet is attached to a pole and the object gets stuck to the magnet.

     Did you know that different objects stick to magnets?  Magnets mostly stick to a certain kind of iron.  Some of the objects are paper clips, batteries, Load Stone, compass, nail and, a stapler.  There are some items that a   magnet can not attract.  Some of them are a pencil, a tin can, a shoe, a book, your hand and, a sweater.

     Do you have the knowledge to know the difference between the geographical and the magnetic North and South poles?  If you do not know, the difference between them is that the poles are in different locations on earth.  The geographic poles are located on the top of the earth, and the   magnetic poles are located a little farther from the geographic poles.

       From sticking objects to magnets, to finding different ways that magnets can help people.  From having the knowledge about the geographic and magnetic poles to know how magnets are formed.  Magnets are really amazing.
