When did England come to America?

The Spanish were actually the first people to "discover" America in 1585. They had created a colony called St. Augustine, when the English came over from Europe. They tried to make a colony in North Carolina. But that Colony didn't work out so well. So, then in 1587, England made a new Colony in North Carolina, and that one had lasted. Then in 1620, the Pilgrims came to America on the Mayflower, and the Pilgrims settled into what is now, New England and they had made several more colonies.
