How did the Colonists live?

How did the Colonists live? Most of them were farmers. The girls would spend most of their time working on cooking, and doing other things in the kitchen, like setting the tables, or they would be working on making the clothes for their families, and doing all the  sewing. And so they did all of the work inside. While the boys, would spend their time going out hunting, and working in the fields, like, sheering the sheep, and other things like that. And so they did all of the work outside.
