         Have you wondered how and what a magnet sticks to? Also do you know how there used? What kind of metal does a magnet stick to? How do magnets have different magnetic fields? Lets find out.

          Have you ever known how magnets were found and could be a lifesaver? Along time ago the Chinese found a rock called magnetite. When they were digging it would stick to there shovels. Now it gets made into magnets. There’s a magnet called a cow magnet. They use the cow magnet to stick to the wire if it is swallowed by a cow. So it wont hurt the cow on the inside if swallowed.

          Did you know there are different types of magnets? Here are some types of magnets. There’s a bar magnet. That has a north and south pole. It is also one of the strongest magnets. A horseshoe magnet is a magnet shaped like a horseshoe and will stick to a lot of weight. Its not as strong as a bar magnet. A       fridge magnet is as strong as a circle magnet but there still very weak.

           Did you know magnets are made for more than just sticking? The cow magnet is used to stick to metal wire if it is swallowed in the hey by accident. So the cow doesn’t get hurt from the inside. That’s how the cow magnet works. The magnets also can hang paper inside of lockers. I hang my homework in the locker so I don’t lose it. They also use giant magnets to move cars to the junk yard.
