| Europeans traded with the Indians for fur, when were settlements
made in the U.S.? Well here are the answers. The first visitors of
America were the Indians and then the Europeans came and took over. The
reason why the Europeans traded there supplies for the Indians fur from
animals are that they both needed the stuff they got. At the end the
Europeans came and said were going to make settlements and they did in
1565 in the south called Florida.
