Final Draft By: Amanda Winter
A cartoon creator, the sixteenth president, and a Civil Rights leader. These are my three dinner party choices. I chose Rosa Parks because I that It’s great that she stood up for her self on the bus. But here are some things that you might not know about her. Rosa Parks was alive when Martin Luther King Jr. was, and helped him so that everyone would be treated equally. She won the Nobel Peace Prize, which is given to peace leaders and Civil Rights like herself. I would invite Rosa Parks to talk to her about how she changed history and how much strength and courage it must have taken. My second person would be Abraham Lincoln. Almost everyone knows he was the sixteenth president but you might not know some of these things. President Abraham Lincoln fought in the Civil War, in fact, during the Civil War Lincoln helped to end slavery. In my opinion President Lincoln was one of the most important presidents. President Lincoln served as president for four whole years. I would talk to him about how it felt to help free slaves. My third and final person would be Walt Disney. I chose him because he entertained us by doing many things. First he made Mickey Mouse. Mickey was used as a cartoon character along with Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. He also opened up Disneyland in California and Disneyworld in Florida which was celebrating it’s 50th anniversary a few years ago. I would like to talk to him, about how it felt to have his own amusement park. Now that you know I would invite Rosa Parks, Abraham Lincoln, and Walt Disney and why, what three people would you choose?
