Dreaming? Are We?
We make pictures in our mind about movies we just watched on TV like a horror
Movie like the sixth sense or a happy thought we gathered from school, friends
Or home.
We make those pictures of fright or happiness for a couple of minutes. And
Suddenly it’s a dark blank sight. We’re sleeping… or are we?
Our bodies are dead and we do nothing but lay on our bed. The night goes on
And the owls hoot and yet we’re laying there dead as a rock and still as a
Iceberg which the Titanic hit.
A quick picture in our mind suddenly becomes a 2 hour report given to a
Nation… but it was only a picture in our mind some happy, some not so happy.
Are we really dreaming? Or are we making all of it up.
We sometimes forget what we dreamed about…so you tell me…
Are we dreaming or making up the questions and answers that dwell in our head
Like…
Who is the Boogie Man?
Who is that monster in our closet and under the bed?
Are the movies I watched going to come to life?
Do we want those questions to be answered by the people around us or
Ourselves in our own way? Or do we want them answered?
8 hours later struggling to get out of bed and never wanting to come out, we hear
The birds chirping and the morning dew on the flowers and grass and the feel of
The warmth of the sun coming out…
But notice, the first thing we do when we wake up is talk about our dream…

How Long It Took

First it took 3 hours on the play and it took 4 hours to get to our motel because we had to rent our car. It also took ten minutes to get to the Blue Jay’s Spring Training Stadium. It too two hours to get to the Red Sox Spring Training Stadium.

What It’s Like To Be Outside
Looking out the window to see what grade is playing kickball or playing on the playground. Staring at the clock to see what time it is. Not learning anything, not paying attention to Mr. Clay. Finally, the bell rings waking me up from the best daydream. Kids pouring out the door. Racing out with their friends to swing on the swing so high in the sky or run from base to base playing kick ball or walking across the balance beam. Wishing you could be outside all day. This is what it’s like to be outside.
Spring

There are flowers everywhere. There are blossoms that are still coming up. There is fresh dirt that I smell. There are bugs on the ground. They are ladybugs. I go in the pool at noon time. I ride my bike. I play in the sprinkler. Planting flowers in the dirt. Going for a walk after school. I play on the swings. I play on the playground looking for ladybugs with my cousin. Having fun after school. Going to the park. Going to the beach. Going to the beach house and having fun playing in the sand. I have fun playing in the spring. Spring is the time for fun.
