Introduction:

I started teaching at Wolcott in 1999. What I enjoy most about teaching here is the way children are valued and celebrated. I enjoy incorporating my love of music into each and every day. I always say that if I have to work — I want to work here!

Hobbies & Interests:

I have a variety of interests that keep me entertained outside of school.  My greatest interest is my family and my children.  We love to visit the library and find new books.  We love to read!  I also enjoy writing, walking outdoors, song writing, singing, performing at weddings and other events, playing piano, creating digital scrapbooks, tennis, downhill skiing, swimming, playing games (my favorite are spelling and word games), arts and crafts, and shopping!   

Pets:

• Chelsea: a very lovable 15-year-old cat who thinks she is a dog
• Daisy: a very adorable Bassett Hound with very long ears

We love our pets!  They are very spoiled and very unique.  Chelsea's favorite game is to play hide-and-seek.  Daisy is happy as long as she is given enough attention! 

Travel:

We are a very busy family and really enjoy spending time at home with our extended family.  We love our backyard!  During the summer months it is a sanctuary and a playground.  We do enjoy going on vacation as well.  We love to go camping around the state of Connecticut.  We also love to visit Block Island, Cape Cod, and Vermont.  You will also find us at the beach or lake during the hot summer months!

Other Interesting Facts:

• One of my favorite places to be is on the stage!
• I am the youngest of four children!
• Both my parents were educators - My dad taught at Braeburn for a very long time!  My mom was a middle school teacher.
• My favorite foods are: fruit, cheese, and ice cream!
• I have 12 nieces and nephews
• I teach because there is nothing more important than a child! (and because I love it!)
