Intro

This is my 18th year teaching in West Hartford. I have been the ESOL teacher at Wolcott for 5 years. I was an ESOL teacher and then a First Grade teacher at Charter Oak School in West Hartford for 13 years. From the time I was in grade school, I always wanted to be a teacher! After college I taught in New York for 3 years and then stayed home for many years to raise our 3 children. I returned to teaching full time in 1990. I feel very fortunate to work with so many wonderful ESOL families and an outstanding staff. Our Wolcott community has families from more than 20 different countries. I love learning about their cultures and everyday, I’m amazed by how quickly they learn English. I work with students in Grades K-5 who are non-English and limited English speakers.
