Who's This?
Mr. Swale was born in Canton, CT. Playing baseball, soccer, cross country, and many roles in the school musicals took up most of his time when he wasn't attempting to get lost in the woods of western Connecticut. After graduating high school in 1999, Mr. Swale attended the University of Connecticut where he received both his Bachelor and Masters degrees. Along with studying education at UConn, Mr. Swale was involved in the University Choir under the direction of Dr. Peter Bagley, where he met his now wife of two years. Along with Choir, Mr. Swale decided to join A Completely Different Note, UConn's oldest all-male a cappella group. This same group, now in its 7th year of singing, now makes an annual stop by the Wolcott Children's Forest every January. After graduating from UConn a second time, Mr. Swale began work at Wolcott in fourth grade. This past year, he was able to graduate to fifth. It is unclear how many years it will take him to graduate from fifth grade. One of Mr. Swale's favorite times of day is on Monday and Thursday afternoon after school when the Wolcott Web Wizards meet to work on web pages. When he is not teaching, Mr. Swale keeps busy by constantly fixing his house which was built in 1750! He also tinkers around in his garden attempting not to kill all his vegetable plants. This summer Mr. Swale began the construction of his very own pottery studio in his garage. While far from a professional, Mr. Swale loves to create many odd shaped bowls, vases, and cups on his pottery wheel, and may some day decide to sell them.
