Whiting Lane Chooses OBAMA in a Mock Presidential Election

 The Presidential Election 2008 was mirrored by our own Whiting Lane Mock Election held on Monday, November 3, 2008 in the library!  Grades 1 – 5 voted and elected Barack Obama to be their choice for the President of the United States.  After reviewing all of the issues on the Scholastic web site, students came to the polls educated and eager to feel the power of voting! 

 The results were as follows:
Senator Barack Obama        244
Senator John McCain             46
Ralph Nader                              6

 A special thanks to all of the Whiting Lane Student Council members who took time from their day to help out with the elections.  Also, we appreciate the   “I VOTED” stickers donated by the office of the Secretary of the State of Connecticut.  They were the icing on the cake!
