Mrs. Sheri Tanner and Mrs. Randi Wuertz

Smith School's open-access library media center (LMC) is staffed by Library Media Specialist Sheri Tanner and paraprofessional Mrs. Randi Wuertz. Volunteers from the school community also help out in the library.

Mrs. Tanner's most important and meaningful role is to participate in the planning and implementation of instructional units or programs that utilize LMC resources and impact student achievement. Mrs. Wuertz runs the circulation desk and assists students, teachers, and parents.

The LMC space includes a computer lab with high-speed internet access, a story corner, a work area, and several nooks and crannies that provide quiet places to read and work.

The LMC collection includes books, videos, audio cassettes, and CD-ROMs that support the school curriculum and meet student needs, abilities, and interests. Classes are scheduled as needed, and children are always welcome to browse, borrow books, and use the resources available to them here.
