Clifford, the Big Red Dog! Our famous class mascot!

Each Friday, I pick a name out of a can.  That child gets to take Clifford home for the weekend!  He comes with Clifford stories, a coloring book, crayons, a journal, and a class book of Clifford's weekend adventures.

Please be sure to read the stories with your son/daughter.  Help your child complete the journal page (from the perspective of Clifford) and encourage them to draw a picture of what they did over the weekend in the class book entitled "Clifford's Weekend Adventures".

During Morning Meeting on Monday, we share what your son/daughter did with Clifford.  This is a favorite classroom take-home activity.  Please be sure to return everything included in the bag, as well as Clifford, so each student gets a turn to take Clifford home.  I find that this is a wonderful way to get to know each other and for your child to share special things about their family with the class.
