Beach Day in Mrs. Shiraiwa's Class!

Our class recently celebrated the filling of our classroom Acorn Jar for showing respect toward each other and the Smith School environment.  We had lots of fun on our Beach Day with activity centers and stuffed animal guests.

We completed 100 Charts with starfish, sharks, sand castles, and fish shapes.

Mrs. Bolton read Bats on the Beach to us  and we made connections to the story.

We fished for coin combinations with sharks, dolphins and whales on a beach mat.

Our special guests read with us on our beach towels.

We also made pattern leis, drew fish in schools of five on a mural, read beach stories and had beach music!  We sure are working hard to fill our jar again!
