Laurel Larco is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. She
received a bachelor's degree in Marine Affairs and
Sociology with a minor in Psychology. She went on to
receive a master's degree from Central Connecticut State
University in Elementary Education with a specialization
in urban education. Laurel taught in Philadelphia,
Hartford, and Manchester to a wide range of ages
including kindergarten, second, third, fourth, and
middle school students.
When not teaching, Laurel enjoys spending time with her husband Tony and
their pets. They have a dog named Kaya and six cats:
Duncan, Max, Midnight, Zoe, Toby, and Bianca, as well as
fish. Laurel and Tony enjoy hiking and nature walks,
music, movies, and reading. Laurel also loves the beach
and anything related to marine life. Laurel is hoping
to bring this love of animals and the environment into
her classroom.
