The Smith Current is the online student newspaper of the Florence E. Smith School of Science, Math  & Technology. The Current welcomes submissions from all students at Smith School. The Current encourages writing and artwork concerned with the school's magnet themes of science, math and technology, but will consider submissions on any subject.

Both hand-written and word-processing documents are accepted. Please do not embed clip art in electronic documents. Graphics should be attached separately.

Please submit art on paper no larger than 8 1/2" x 11". For 3-dimensional art, paintings, and works larger than 8 1/2" x 11", please submit photographs of the work. For photography, digital photographs are preferred but prints (no larger than 8" x 10") will be accepted. Digital sound files are welcome.

The Current reserves the right to edit text and layout.

Students are asked to obtain permission to publish their work from a parent or caretaker. This page with a parent or caretaker's signature constitutes an agreement for a student's work to appear in the Smith Current.
