Speaking at a meeting: Each member of
the public wishing to speak may address the board at the
beginning or end of each public meeting. If you would
like to speak publicly about an education-related issue,
plan to arrive at Town Hall before the meeting begins to
sign up for an opportunity to speak. Each speaker is
given 3 minutes. If you do not sign up, you will have an
opportunity to speak before the end of the meeting.
Parking for the Meeting is Free. Parking is free at the
parking lots at Town Hall. The lots have parking gates
where you will need to take a parking ticket to enter
the lot behind Town Hall. At 8: 00 PM, the gates will be
lifted. If you leave the Board meeting before 8:00 PM,
you should drive to the parking booth and tell the
attendant that you were attending the Board of Education
meeting and you will be able to exit without paying.
Can’t make it to the meeting? Watch meetings live on
channel 5. The meetings are rebroadcast many times
during the next two weeks, during both the day and
evening on Channel 19.
