Type III
Process
Opportunities
abound to work on open-ended multi-faceted
investigations individually or in groups.
Students select a topic for individual
investigations of a particular interest. No
homework is assigned, however, to do any one of
these projects well, students will need to commit
extra time to do them. Following is a
step-by-step process of completing the Type III
project:
1. Select a
topic.
2. Identify a
problem, issue, concern, or "mess" and
write a research question.
3. Create and follow a schedule.
4. Find credible and relevant resources.
5. Develop and adapt or use a
method of note-taking
6. Complete in-depth library research.
7. Share or teach the knowledge that you have gained.
8. Define and complete the process to follow.
9.
Present products of investigation.
10. Evaluate the investigation objectively.
