Publishing Your Web Pages with Front Page

Why have a web page and what can I do with it?

Step by step publishing directions: If you have not imported your files yet, just create a new blank page to work on for now. These are the basic skills you will need to work with WebPages. (print version)

  1. Importing and publishing your files for the first time
  2. Working with and publishing your files
  3. Creating a hyperlink to an Internet page (creating a target frame that spawns a new window
  4. Creating an email link
  5. Inserting and resizing an image and creating a thumbnail
  6. Creating an attachment (i.e. a worksheet)
  7. Creating additional pages
  8. Linking between two of your own pages

Have Front Page installed on your school ( Nancy in the Main Office) or you can use your home computer if you have FrontPage installed there.

Obtain the list of Do Not Publish students (from Kathy LaBombard)

Review copyright by WHPS on the web or view the PowerPoint Presentation, Child Online Protection Act (COPA), & KidzPrivacy (It's the law!). This site offers questions and answers about Copyright for Educators.

Notify Kathy LaBombard that you are ready to begin publishing to have your sub web setup. This needs to be coordinated with IT.

Begin publishing. Send Dr. Skaught and Kathy LaBombard an email each of the first few times you publish.
