Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks enable you to jump from one page to another, to a web page on the Internet, to an email address or to a place on your own page.

  1. Create a new web page and save it to your folder. Type the words "Page 2" on your first page. Now highlight those words by holding down your mouse button and dragging over them.

Click on "Insert" "hyperlink" (or Ctrl + k).

Click on the file you want to link to and then click on "Screen Tip". A screen tip is what comes up when you hover your mouse over a link. Write in whatever you want to show up. Click "OK".

  1. Link to an Internet site: Find an Internet site that you would like to link to. Click in the address bar to highlight the URL (address). Click on Ctrl + c (to copy).

Go to "Insert", "Hyperlink" (or Ctrl + k). Put your curser in the area that says "Address". Click Ctrl + v (to paste). Click "OK".

  1. To create an email link: Type your name on your web page. Highlight the text. Go to "Insert", "Hyperlink" (or Ctrl + k). Click on the email button on the bottom. Type in your email address. The program automatically puts in "mailto:". You can use a screen tip here too!

You can use any of these ways to link on an object such as a graphic too. Get an animated mailbox. Right click and save the animation to your folder by chosing "save picture as".
