THIS IS YOUR PROJECT. ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS AND INCLUDE THE INFORMATION BELOW THE QUESTIONS:

How do a reach my goal of remaining substance free?  How can I say “no” and still keep my friends?

  • Knows the effects of alcohol or marijuana use - Describe the physiological (physical), psychological (mental), behavioral and societal effects of using alcohol and marijuana
  • Analyzes the influence of culture, media, technology, and other factors on behaviors and decisions related to alcohol, marijuana, and other substance use/non-use
  • Knows the consequences for using alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (Family rules, school policies, and federal laws regarding ATOD)
  • Develop a plan to make the goal of being “substance free” a reality during middle and high school years
  • Knows where and how to locate resources to support the abuser or his/her friends and family (Explain the effects that drug dependency has on family and friends.). (Access school and community resources to support the abuser or his/her friends and family.)

Create a Multimedia Presentation

With your partner make a video, podcast or use Power Point, PhotoStory, HyperStudio, TimeLiner, Front Page or another editor to create a Multimedia Presentation or Web Page on your findings.

Remember your focus is on substance abuse prevention and goal setting!
