What is a Quest Project?

 

I.                   Expert File – Collect as much information as you can using:

·         Renzulli student sites

·          Quest library

·          Renzulli Teacher Search

·         Actual experts in the field

q       Build a background of knowledge in your Quest binder

q       Create a vocabulary list.

q       List some  related subtopics

q       Create  guideword pairs for further searches

q       Educate yourself on the topic by reviewing the literature.

q       Ask yourself questions: who, what, when, where, why

q       Identify “points of view.”

Analyze professional techniques

III.         Product

Authentic research: Descriptive, historical, experimental, correlational, developmental, qualitative survey results, statistical analysis.

Teach a lesson: With the information and skills you acquire, locate an appropriate audience and present a well-developed lesson that includes learning activities.

Publish a piece of writing or a video. Enter your work in a contest.

Execute your design, idea or project. This may include starting a business or club, creating and performing a play, building a vehicle or structure for competition, promoting a cause or social action plan.
