Steps to Success:
1. Teachers identify behaviors of concern.
If behaviors continue:
2. Teachers create strategies for success with student.
3. Teachers work with student and parent on these strategies.
If behaviors continue:
4. Guidance counselors, along with other school resource personnel
become involved.
If behaviors continue:
5. Teachers complete Pre-S.A.T. checklist until options are exhausted.
If behaviors continue:
6. Teachers refer students to the S.A.T. and team member will contact
parents.
7. S.A.T. teacher will interview student and parent before meeting
with S.A.T.
8. S.A.T. meets and creates an Action Plan, which is then shared
with the team teachers, student and parents.
9. S.A.T. monitors student progress.
10. Consistent progress over time=exit from S.A.T.
If you as a parent have concerns about your child,
you may contact guidance to begin this process on your own.
Remember: The more involved you are with your child,
the more likely he or she is to succeed in school and life!
