The First Days

July 7th through July 9th

We are leaving today for Boston at 9:30. We fly to San Fran, Taipei and then to Hanoi. I am packed and feel organized.

It was a fun week seeing friends, camping, sailing and getting ready for the trip. I can't believe this day has finally come. Three more days until I meet Faith! The Daily Word for the day is "Journey" is was a very appropriate reading and I have attached the link here.

We are off.

Boston was smooth and we left at 3:30 Monday. We will only have an hour and a half of Tuesday (Our plane left San Fran at 1:30 AM ) and jump right into Wednesday. Crossing the dateline can be confusing. On the way home we get to enjoy the same day twice.

We vote "Excellent"!

We found so many wonderful things in every airport. In San Francisco we had a 6 hour wait and while Virginia worked on the lap top I had a free massage in a chair that squeezed my legs, arms and gave an amazing massage from head to toe. The flight from U.S. to Taiwan was 12 hours long and we were in the first seat in a 747 with tons of leg room and two meals. Fortunately we slept for 6 to 7 hours.

Now at the Taipei Airport we found a orchid garden, prayer rooms for 3 religions and........

........a Voyage of Rainbows.
A display of 2300 paper airplanes made and decorated by children from Taoyuan County, Taiwan.
Children should chase their dreams and fly to the happy future. Children’s dreams are precious diamonds hidden deep in the heart.
