The Adjusted Curriculum Program in our school provides integrated Special Education in grades 1-5.  This town-wide program services learning disabled students who are performing at least two years below grade level.

Our community center, Hillcrest Avenue Neighborhood Outreach Center (HANOC) provides a homework center and counseling groups for our students and their families after school every day. We work with Webster Hill School and Wolcott School to provide services to all of our students.

We have a very active and productive PTO which provides funding for many school activities and programs. They meet ten months of the year on a Thursday evening in the school cafeteria. Dates are announced in our weekly newsletter.

Duffy's Student Council is a dynamic group of children from Grades 1 - 5.  We rely on their enthusiasm to lead us in School Spirit Days throughout the year.  The Council also sponsors several community service projects.  The Officer Board positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary, are held by 5th grade students elected by their peers in November of every year.

Our community newsletter, The Dateline, is written every other week and sent home with our students on Thursday and is also available online. This newsletter provides information for our families and community about the activities, programs and special events that take place at Duffy. It also contains a calendar of important dates to remember as well as a monthly menu from our cafeteria.  The Duffy Reader is our school-wide literacy newsletter and is also available online.  ..\LMC\Library_home.htm
