Why Take the SAT Subject Test?

Many colleges use the SAT Subject Tests for admissions, course placement and for advising students about course selection. Some colleges specify the SAT Subject Tests that they require for admissions or placement, while others allow students to choose which tests to take. Together with other information — high school transcripts, SAT® scores, teacher recommendations, etc. — the SAT Subject Tests provide another valuable piece of information about a student. Like the SAT, they’re a reliable measure of academic achievement and a good predictor of college performance.
