Grade 10 Checklist:
 

___ Review your child's Sophomore class schedule.

___
Read and review the school rules and regulations as listed in the student handbook, distributed at the beginning of the school year. Please read the attendance policy, especially as it relates to the loss of semester credits.

___If your child has been granted Conditional Credit Status by the Attendance Appeals Committee, please keep a record available of the conditions outlined in the student contract.

___ Highlight important dates on the school calendar. Pay particular attention to: the dates each quarter ends for report cards, progress report distribution dates at five week intervals and exam dates.

___ Plan to attend the Open House in the Fall.

___ Read and review information from the Guidance Department regarding college testing sequence. (The PSAT is recommended for many sophomores; call your student's counselor if you have any questions.)

___ Read, review,  and discuss progress reports and report cards with your student.

___ Communicate with your student's counselor on a frequent basis. 

___ Plan on attending Sophomore Parent's  Night in January 2003.

___ Discuss selection of eleventh grade courses with your student, checking graduation requirements carefully.

___ Plan on Attending the College Panel Program in April 2003 with your child.

___ If your student is in an Advanced Placement course, consult with his/her teacher regarding taking the AP exam and/or the SAT II Subject Exam.

Wednesday, 15 October:
Conard will be running on a special schedule in order to administer PSATs to grades 10 and 11 and a practice CAPT assessment to grade 9. Grade 12 students need not report until 10:30, however, transportation will run as usual. Any juniors not participating in PSATs and all seniors who cannot provide their own transportation to school for a 10:30 arrival time will be assigned to the cafeteria for silent study until 10:30.

The schedule for the day is as follows:
Testing 7:30-10:30
Period 04 10:36-11:06
Period 05 11:10-11:40
Period 06 11:44-12:14
Period 07 12:18-12:48
