Mission Statement World Language Department The mission of the West Hartford World Language Dept. is to enable our students to effectively communicate in the target language, develop an understanding of the cultures of the speakers of that language and compare that to their own. As a result, students will be able to use their language skills in learning and understanding other disciplines, for their own benefit and for that of humanity, seeing themselves as long-term learners and as members of the world community.
