	First Grade Homework

			Starting in January the students will be bringing home monthly homework. Students should complete 20 of the 30 nor 31 activities. If we are on vacation, like in February and during spring break then the students complete 15 activities. This works out to about one activity a night for each school night. There is also a response log for the student and parent to complete. This is important so please don't forget the back side of each calendar. We will also send Math Unit homework as each class completes each unit. Feel free to space out the homework to meet your families needs. Homework is due the last day of the month. New homework comes home the first school day of the month. Dot books are still due weekly. You may wish to keep the homework folder at home all month and just send the bag with the dot books in every Friday. Send the folder in on the last day of the month with the monthly homework.
