You will present an accurate account of the major battles leading up to and igniting the revolution.  The battles include: the Battle of Trenton, the Battle of Saratoga, the Battle of Lexington and Concord, the Battle of Quebec, the battle for New York, the Battle of Bennington, the Battle of Germantown, the Battle of Princeton, the Battle of Monmouth, the Battle of Brandywine, the Battle of Ticonderoga, the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Cowpens, the Battle of Yorktown. 

Your presentation might include:

·        A map of the battle, including the surrounding countryside and which armies were in which positions

·        A “You Are There” moment-by-moment account of the battle

·        A reenactment of key battle scenes

·        A newspaper account of the battle, complete with illustrations

Your presentations should include background material on how the battle started, who won and lost, and what the consequences of the battle were.

Procedure for Task 4

1.      Determine who in your group is going to do which part of the research

2.      Research your battle through the links listed below.

3.      Meet again with your group to discuss which project you will be doing.

4.      Work on your project AT HOME.  You will not be given classroom time to work on it. 

5.      Meet regularly with your group to update on progress.

6.      Put the different parts of the project together.

7.      Present your project.
