Freedom Quest Task 2 |

You must present an accurate rendition of an event or topic concerning the Revolutionary War. You will be assigned one of the following events or topics: the Boston Tea Party; the Boston Massacre; the first Continental Congress’s drafting of the Olive Branch Petition to the King; the Sons of Liberty; the Declaration of Independence; the various flags used during the Revolutionary War; Paul Revere’s ride to warn the colonists; Sybil Ludington's ride; the winter at Valley Forge; the Militia and the Minutemen; the role of native tribes in the Revolutionary War; the role of slaves in fighting for each side; the Continental Army; the Continental Navy. Your representation may take several forms: · An accurate mural depicting the scene with captions below. This mural should be large enough for the entire class to see as you present it. · A mini-play, from between five to fifteen minutes, reenacting the event · A roundtable discussion with the major players of the event. The focus of this discussion group should be on what each person perceived as the cause of the event and what they think might be, or should be, the result. The discussion should have a moderator · A trial after the event examining what happened and what, if anything, should be the punishment Your presentation must include background information about the event and the reaction of the colonists.
